Introduction to San Miguel

San Miguel is located in the North of the Ibiza, with most guides forgetting to mention that before arriving in to the beautiful Port ( Puerto ) of San Miguel you have to pass through the Village ( Pueblo ) of San Miguel, which sits 4.4 km away from the port.The Village of San Miguel not only has one of the oldest and most famous churches on the island it also has amongst other things 3 Banks, 2 Supermarkets, 4 Bar/Restaurants, a Chemist, a Doctors, a Post Office and a Craft Market. Plus if you venture up at night you will see a whole load of local characters come to life who alone make our tiny village well worth a visit.

 
The long windy pine tree clad road down to the port from the village takes around 5-10 minutes and when arriving at night you would be forgiven for thinking you were actually visiting the end of the earth! However this is soon forgotten when you finally arrive in the stunning Puerto San Miguel and almost at once relax and de - stress.
 
Puerto San Miguel is without doubt one of the most beautiful resorts in the whole of Ibiza, located in the Northern municipality of San Juan, the least populated and most rural and untouched part of the whole island. Most facilities in Puerto San Miguel are concentrated around the large natural bay, which faces North and enjoys a cool breeze virtually all year round. However the smaller Cala Multons beach is only a short stroll way and offers a more off the beaten track option, although smaller and with only one "chiringuito" ( small beach bar ) no less beautiful.
 
Puerto San Miguel itself has 3 Large hotels, 2 Apartment complexes and and some smaller private establishments for your accommodation needs. However within the surrounding area we have the first ever 5 star hotel on the island and a whole host of Agrotourism and Rural Hotels, plus a wealth of private villas and houses to suit all budgets and tastes.
 
Within Puerto San Miguel you will find 6 Bar / Restaurants, 3 Supermarkets, 2 Car Hire Offices, a Medical Centre an Excursion Shop, and a late Night Bar offering live music.
